The philosophy and humanities program of UNESCO (Montevideo Office) promotes research in the field of humanities throughout the project "The history of Humankind in other words: Narratives and hermeneutics of the History of Humankind in seven native peoples of South America".

The project "The history of humankind in other words" has been included in the promotion and participation plan of the International Year of Indigenous Languages - 2019, created by the United Nations and coordinated  by UNESCO.
